Oakland California Temple

The building of the Oakland Temple was planned as early as 1847.

Mormons who had traveled by ship around Cape Horn to California were told by Brigham Young that.

"In the process of time, the shores of the Pacific may yet be overlooked from the Temple of the Lord."

The Oakland Temple became the Church’s 13th operating temple 50 years ago.

The church overlooks Oakland,the Bay Bridge,San Francisco and the Golden Gate Bridge.

I'm not religious at all,but even so,I really enjoy the view, the architecture and the peacefulness the Church provides.
