Glen Canyon Dam walking tour, Arizona

The 710-foot (220 m) high Glen Canyon Dam is on Colorado River in northern Arizona, United States.

The overall design was based on that of Hoover Dam - a massive concrete arch-gravity structure anchored in solid bedrock.

It was designed by Floyd Dominy, who transformed the West with massive dam irrigation and hydroelectric projects.
