Day of the Dead (Día de los Muertos) is a traditional Mexican holiday dedicated to the ancestors.
In Mexico, neighbors gather in cemeteries to share food, music with their community, both living and departed.
In 2008 the tradition was inscribed in the Representative List of the Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity by UNESCO.
The SF event is on Nov 2nd each year,located in the funky Mission district.
You bet San Franciscans won't miss any chance to party.
