Medellín is Colombia’s second largest city and one of the top places in the world to see Christmas lights.
The Christmas lights in Medellín are referred to in Spanish as the “Lighting” (El Alumbrado).
The 2014 story centers on a girl named Paloma who travels on a boat on the river of peace.
The lighting uses over 30 million LED lights, 800 kilometers of rope lights and 11 tons of metallic decorative paper.
