We start the hike from Fort Cronkhite, a former World War II military post.

This huge gun barrel was originally mounted on the battleship USS Missouri in 1944.

There were two 16 inch, 68ft guns guarding the Golden Gate, scrapped in 1948.

The controll site(SF-88C) we're going today is nearby and guided the missiles in 88L.

And here we are! The Army transfered this land to the National Park Service in 1974.
