Let's start with the world famous Punalu'u black sand beach.
The beach also has a large amount of underground fresh water that flows in it.
These rare anchialine ponds are one of Hawaii’s most threatened ecosystems.
Then drive up to the Mauna Loa. Already feeling altitude sickness.
Near Mauna Loa lookout.
Art gallery inside the National Park visitor center.
Jaggar Museum Overlook.
Kilauea Iki Crater Overlook.
Ready to get into lava tube?
Don't be afraid :)
Keep walking :)
Hanging from the ceiling are stalactites, a unique formation in lava tubes.
Found the exit!
Many craters along the Crater Rim Drive. Now let's go see lava flowing.
It was a long drive plus biking, lucky we got here before sunset.
Just enjoy the view.
