The Bosnian Army constructed The Tunnel of Hope during the Siege of Sarajevo in 1993.
Serbian forces surrounded Sarajevo by then.
The tunnel linked Sarajevo to the airport, which was controlled by UN.
The tunnel became a main passage for food to get in and people to get out the city.
3000-4000 people and 30 tons of supply passed through the tunnel every day during the war.
The Siege of Sarajevo lasted 1,425 days, a year longer than the Siege of Leningrad.
