Jiayu Pass is known as "The best pass/fort of them all".
It's the first pass at the west end of the Great Wall of China.
Jiayu, Juyong and Shanhai are the three main passes on the Great Wall.
Jiayu Pass was built in 1372 Ming Dynasty, 9 years earlier than Shanhai Pass.
The length of the city wall is 733 meters (2,405 ft) and the height is 11 meters (36 ft).
The pass is trapezoid-shaped with an area of more than 33,500 square meters.
There're two gates: one on the east side of the pass and the other on the west side.
Jiayu Pass consisted of three defense lines: an inner city, an outer city, and a moat.
