The buildings at Llanthony gradually decayed after the Dissolution to a ruin.

Some of the buildings were later converted into a domestic house.

This house later became the Llanthony Priory Hotel which is still operating today.

The hotel comprises five bedrooms, one at the top of the tower and reached by 62 narrow steps.

Hotel actually incorporates the south-west tower of the monastic building.
